- Cod-piece
- Fabric covering for the groin, latterly padded. Its counterpart in armour could be either of mail or, more usually, of plate.
- Coat-armor
- Top-covering piece of clothing. Popular in tournaments where it presented the beholder’s coat of arms.
- Edge
- The sharp, cutting part of a blade. Swords are single or double-edged.
- Lance rest
- A support for the lance when couched; this was bolted to the right side of the breastplate and was often hinged.
